Allow me to introduce myself…

Hi! My name is Rachel. I’m an English graduate from UConn with a passion for books, astronomy - and of course - baking.

I was granted the opportunity to explore my passion for baking and decorating while working at NoRa Cupcake Company in Middletown, Connecticut. For 4 years I learned the do’s and don’ts of cakes, cupcakes, and pastries, perfecting my skill to someday utilize as my own. I continued my career at a local market as a bakery decorator, and combined all I have learned into building my own business: Lil’ Dip’s Bakery!

Why Lil’ Dip’s? No reason other than to combine the two things I love most, baked treats and astronomy. Both space and baking use elements of science that with one miniscule alteration, can change the entire outcome of a product. (I won’t get into how the smallest change in atomic structure will change the fabrication of a star…unless you’re interested). As I grow my business I hope to incorporate more of the stars, galaxies and beauty of the night sky into my treats. Stay tuned for more to come!
